Article 10 of the Registration and Approval Process of Food Businesses Regulation published in the Official Gazette on December 17, 2011 puts forth the necessary conditions regarding the staff at food businesses. In accordance with the regulation, the Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock required food engineers working at such businesses to hold a document approved by the chamber they are registered to as a condition for the approval of these businesses.
On January 7, 2014, the Regulation on the Amendment to the Registration and Approval Process of Food Businesses Regulation came into force which repealed Article 10, paragraph (a) about the request for the document in question.
